Continue reading »]]> While picking up some groceries, I passed the fresh produce and couldn’t pass up the blueberries.  I add blueberries to pancakes, cereal, smoothies, muffins, anything I can think of really.  I decided to make this wonderful Blueberry Cake from Simply Recipes. It’s not the first time I’ve made it and I’m sure that I’ve blogged about it before, but it simply bears repeating. It’s that good.

I followed the recipe exactly except that five minutes before I was ready to pull the cake out of the oven, I sprinkled turbinado sugar on top and then finished baking until it was done. This made the cake like a giant blueberry muffin top. I skipped the powered sugar entirely. The result was great, only problem was there was nothing left after I served it. This recipe is so easy, I think I’m going to try it using peaches.
