马伯庸是人民文学奖、朱自清散文奖、茅盾新人奖得主。其作品被评为沿袭“‘五四’以来历史文学创作的谱系”，致力对“历史可能性小说”的探索。其代表作包括《太白金星有点烦》《长安的荔枝》《大医》《两京十五日》等。

《大医》创作：曾花3年调研中国近代医学史

“这封信是我从一位收藏家看到的，在外面包了两层塑料薄膜，非常珍贵。”分享会现场，马伯庸回忆，在创作新作《大医》时，他曾花费三年时间去调研中国近代医学史，抗战时期两位医生的暖心故事让他记忆深刻。

马伯庸提到的信正是钟南山的父亲——钟世藩在1941年12月24日写给肺科教授吴绍青的工作信函。当时的贵阳正遭受日军惨烈轰炸，急需19种药品援助。在去信文末，钟世藩留下了两句祝福“Wish you a Merry Christmas and happy new year，祝你圣诞快乐以及新年快乐。”

“虽然信的内容看起来是平常，但背后隐藏的是这两位爱国大医所作的努力。他们内心对于希望的追求，彼此互相鼓励扶持、走向胜利。”马伯庸说道。

创作方向：写大时代下小人物的喜怒哀乐

“一直以来我的创作方向就是想写大时代下的小人物，尤其是写这些小人物做事情时的真实状态。”当记者提问从普通人的视角去叙事的原因，马伯庸笑称自己也当了10年“社畜”，对生活非常熟悉，写起来也算是行家里手。

据悉，在小说《长安的荔枝》中，马伯庸就塑造了一位倒霉“社畜”李善德历经艰辛运送荔枝的故事。马伯庸认为，中国历史里关于帝王将相的记载非常多，而关于普通人的关注非常少。“我想通过文艺的方式，展现出过去普通人的困惑、生活与喜怒哀乐。”

同时，马伯庸表示，希望《大医》能够让读者了解医生的传承精神。医护人员为保护人民的健康付出了巨大牺牲与努力，观古而知今，可以对医护人员多一些谅解与尊重，这也是他创作本书的意义所在。

另外，马伯庸还透露，自己的下一部作品与广东关系密切，是以西汉时期南越国为背景的一段美食故事。“西汉的美食和现在的美食，从食材和烹饪做法上都大相径庭，但不变的是两千多年来岭南人民对于美食的追求和对生活品质的追求。”他认为，通过作品，读者可以看到南越王宫里展现的东西，看到两千年前南越国的老百姓对于生活的态度，而现在也同样可以看到这种映照，古今对比，非常有趣。
